Steve Sims is a commercial real estate veteran with more than 26 years of finance and investment experience. Throughout his career, he has been involved in more than $3 billion in real estate transactions spanning the full spectrum of commercial property sectors.

Steve works closely with institutional investors, high-net-worth individuals, and family offices, overseeing asset underwriting and analysis as well as capital structuring. His extensive finance and investment background brings a disciplined, analytical perspective to MAINBRACE’s property management, leasing, and investment activities.

Prior to MAINBRACE, Steve co-founded Landmark Real Estate, formerly known as Landmark Capital Advisors, a real estate capital advisory firm specializing in finance and private equity. During his tenure, he successfully advised clients on more than $1.3 billion in capital transactions across all major asset classes.

In 2011, Steve co-founded Tusker Investments, a real estate investment and advisory firm focused on sub-institutional investment opportunities. He previously served as a partner at Messenger Investment Company, where he was responsible for the firm’s financial, strategic, and market analysis.

Earlier in his career, Steve was a key member of the acquisition team at Archon Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs. In this role, he worked across all major commercial real estate product types in markets throughout the United States.

Steve earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University and his master’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. He is a licensed California real estate professional and an active member of the Newport Harbor Yacht Club, where he currently serves as Vice Commodore.
